Slant Markers typically stand 14″ – 18″ in height with the front sloping or slanting from front to back. Slant memorials are available in one or two pieces; with or without a granite base. A 2” flat area on the front of the slant marker is called “nosing”, which can be polished or natural (rough). Having a rough surface at the bottom ensures that lawn maintenance equipment will not damage the polished area of the marker. A slant without nosing is called a “full-face” slant, which is best suited for placement on a granite base.
The top of a slant marker can be curved or flat. The back is always vertical and can be polished to allow engraving an endearment, a special verse, family names or other text and/or symbols that add meaningful remembrance to the headstone. Alternately, the back can be left unpolished for mounting a bronze memorial plaque.
Slant markers are available in a wide variety of granite colors and in both single and double width. Your slant memorial stone may be further personalized with memorial symbols that honor the life of your loved one. Memorial accessories such as flower vases and photo plaques are also available.
